GRAVITY EAST MOUNT SNOW: NEW COURSE, FREE FOOD​

September 24, 2009; Conshohocken, PA, USA: In what has become a regular occurrence in the 2009 season, Gravity East Downhillers will once again charge down a brand-new trail when they visit Mount Snow Vermont October 3-4. Dubbed “Trail 13”, the new trail will add additional variety to the legendary mountain’s trail system. “We’ve held off opening the trail until race weekend because we wanted to unveil it with the Gravity East,” says Vinnie Lewis, Event and Public Relations Manager for the resort. “This will be our fourth downhill this year, and on the fourth different course.” Lewis goes on to say that bike set-ups for the new, mostly-wooded, course should be very similar to that used for previous downhills at Mount Snow. “It’s the same surface, just a different flow down the mountain.”

The weekend also includes accompanying Gravity East e.thirteen Dual Slalom and non-points Super D races, and will also feature something near and dear to racers’ hearts: free food. “We’ll be having an awards BBQ on Sunday following the races,” says Lewis. “We did it at one of our other races this year and people really liked it. We want people to come and have a good time. Our dual slalom only costs $20 to enter. It runs on the same 4X track we use for our bike festival should finish under the lights. Our Super D only costs $10. We call it more of a rolling downhill than a standard Super D, but people who have done it in the past has had a blast. We’ll have some merchandise prizes and we’re keeping the price super-cheap to get people involved.”
