Yep, I still have a grandparent living. I'll be going to Ventura, CA, to celebrate her momentous occasion with a surprise party for her on Saturday.
I've told some folks that I'd love for her to meet my granddaughters. The smart ones get the generations...... my grandma is a great-great-grandma! She is going to flip when she meets my g-daughters.
Funny story about her...... I love her pumpkin pie, and would enjoy a huge slice when we'd visit in my much younger days. Many moons later, during one of her visits, my wife asks her what her secret is. Grandma's answer? It was always out of a can!!! Something I never knew until then.
