Mornin' all. Busy weekend that started Friday afternoon with a trip to the ER for my son breaking his nose, on to Scout camping, first MTB ride of the season that ended with a snapped rear derailleur and a sheared chain but ended by several cold barley beverages yesterday.
I had a busy weekend at the Battenkill Roubaix with my team. Saturday we cheered the amateur racers on and staffed the LUNA tent at the expo. The rain and cooler temps meant the crowd wasn't very large at all Sunday, one of my team mates and I decided to ride a little and see some of the Elite Pro Men's invitational. We ended up marshalling a part of the course for the event which was cool (it was a nice down hill section just after a dirt road decent). Floyd Landis didn't make it, but it was still cool to watch them hauling!!! The guy who won lead pretty much the entire race (he took the lead 34 min. in and never let up for the remainder of the 128 mile course ) We managed to sell a few more waterbottles at the tent and enjoy the hills of Washington County on a sunny, but breezey day.
Rode 9 miles in the back country (which included 1392ft of climbing). Had an awesome pastrami sandwich for lunch... followed by a food coma. Hit the junk yards for 3 hours looking for old jaguar v12 parts. Hit the beach for some body boarding and sunset action.... it was a good Sunday.
Finally got to do some xc riding on the local trails. Just short rides for now. Had way too lazy of a winter. Rode an 8 mile loop with the fiance saturday, and 9 miles yesterday with the boy. Man, the boy is going to be fast. His first time out and he was riding my rear wheel the whole way up. His descending skills are way better than last year. Last year was his first time going mountain biking. I put him in some bmx clinics and indoor bmx racing this winter. Also took him out to skateparks here and there. All of that riding really shows. He's going to be a great rider really quick.
I am sore and tired from the Sea Otter. Crashed in practice on Saturday, dislocated my shoulder, scraped up my for arm pretty good, and bruised my hip. Ended up racing Sunday still and didn't ride very well.
Busy morning but winding down now and back at the good ol' home office.
I stopped at a greek place while I was out for their chicken lunch special and now I'm stuffed. Happy, but stuffed.

Thanks everyone. I am 'ok' now. But the shoulder is just in worse condition than before. I am going to try to limp through the rest of this season before I get surgery. Looks like my Whistler trip will have to wait until after I get married next year.

Is it a dislocation or a separation? My DL'd shoulder was 80% 1 month after it got popped back in. My buddy is still recovering from a separated shoulder from almost 2 months ago.
It was just a dislocation. This is now the 3rd time it has happened on this shoulder. I also dealt with the same thing on my right shoulder for 2 years before getting surgery. =[ This time I am going to do my best to take care of it before it gets much worse like my right shoulder was.
