is there any good trails that are similar to salem lake,northwood, pee wees and etc around greensboro area..im gettin burnt out on going to them places every weekend and didtn know if theres any places within a hour or so around ?

They close the public trails when things are wet.
Having it posted up on the front page is for an easy reference.
i meant like freeride places with big drops,jumps and etc. ?
Go to the freeride forum on trianglemtb.com theres a ton in the triangle area.
There is only one legal freeride location on TriangleMTB. That would be Legend Park in Clayton. There are a few jumps and structures scattered around some of the other legal trails, like Lake Crabtree and Harris Lake.
There are freeride options at Chapel Hill , NC State's Centenial Campus, and Atlantic Ave trails. But they are illegal and can't be listed on TMTB. The stuff at CC and AA were recently posted up in the Southeast Picture thread. The most recent expansion in Raliegh is really impressive.
There are private trails that have Good freerideing. Tar River was and is, and isn't any longer by popular demand. The best is in Mebane. I've heard of some other good DJ sites.

If you look around on TMTB in the freeride section you'll be able to find pics of the less than legal places, even though they arent and will probably never be listed in the trails section of the site. Be nice and someone might hook you up with directions.
