First year classes at any major university act as a filter. No matter how good the students/teacher are the curve cuts out 5%. You were the 5%, such an elitist.

Not denying that, but there was no curve. It was a 50 not pass rate. Mind, I might have been at the bottom of that list, but it was still a very high cull rate.
I learned after the fact that there was calc for science and math majors, and for non-majors. I signed up for the wrong one apparently. When I switched to the correct class for my major route, I did far better.
