why is it giant has had the acid released in other countries but now they just release the stp to us in the states? why not just use the same frame? but, try something new?

The ACid sux.
Who want to loose all their seat hight adjustment for no good reason.

The STP is available at least in the US and Australia.

My guess is the ACid had been superceeded by the STP.
The STP is a way better design anyway.
