After 7 years of random misfortune...

I had multiple injuries DH racing in '04
my wife had a kneck injury in DH race at Tenney mtn NH in '05
I snapped my Tib/Fib & dislocated my ankle @ Whistler in '06
Got laid off from a great job '08
my wife's mom passed away in '08
bad respiratory virus in '09 (bike season lost)
Ruptured my L5/S1 in '10 (bike season lost)

FY11 is shaping up to be a positive year. My son finished 2nd in the state in Slopestyle for 10-12 year old age group and just competed in his first nationals out at Copper Colorado. Kid does amazing under pressure.

So I'm thinking this is finally the year, at age 43, to give gravity riding a serious go again. I'm reviving my 10 year old RFX but for my wife I built her this brand new beauty:

Here's a few shots from Nationals:

I'm long overdue for some positive thinking!;)

awesome post! :thumb:

good luck and all the best for you

so when will your boy get a bike?
Here's the ride I built for him this year, he's been biking for 6 years and this is his first real MTB. Has an old Revelation U-Turn air that's turned down to 100mm right now but can go up to 130 for dh riding.
