So I'm trying to rebuild a new-to-me Z1. Since I'm stuck in Berkeley(grad school) I can't just pop in family or ABS anymore.

Turns out out of the half a dozen bike shops around here, none of them have fork oil. they have forty kinds of waterbottle cages but fork oil? forgetaboutit.

Go to your friendly neighborhood motorcycle shop. Not only will they have it, it'll be way cheaper than in a bike shop.
