It looks like they abandoned the proprietary idler pulley/chainguide device. I wonder why?

It looks amazing IMO, I'll have to throw a leg over one of those for sure.

Thanks, you guys are doing a great job there at mtbfreride.tv!

Things I can see that I like about this frame already:

-Cable routing that doesn't force you to disconnect any hoses/cables for assembly/dis-assembly.

-Tubeset

-Uninterrupted seattube

-Super low stack height on the head tube.

Tell Noel to ship one of those badboys down to MTBGearTech.com for a thorough thrashing ;). God, that bike looks sick in both the blue and the green! I'm sure you guys will treat her right and ride the paint off of her.

Didn't expect to see curved tubes on it for sure... Quite a departure from the black proto, but in a good way! The green one looks amazing!
The Endorphin has some curve going on, so it's not like it's the first time they've done that.

prefer the aesthetics of the straight tubed proto; the compound curve downtube thing is getting old. i'm starting a grassroots campaign to bring back straight tubes. who's with me? rise against tortured tubes! etc...

Is Knolly outsourcing frame building now, or changed welders? The frame looks 'fine' but seems to lack that outstanding finish appearance Im used to seeing. Something(s) missing too.. just not familiar enough to say what!

If so, does that mean the prices have shrunk a little?

I love the looks of the proto but imho vtach looks like it was sick. Horrible frame. Still the new one also seems very nice but I'd keep the black paint. We need more black frames. I'm pretty pissed that I simply can't buy some frames in colors that take 5 days to scratch all the mud off.

I'm with you xy9ine.

I dont mind the Knolly but that Jamis Bam 2010 posted is an abomination of everything Specialised and Giant.

Kind of like what Hyundai is to Honda and Toyota.

I usually prefer straight tubed frames myself but I have to say that out of all of the curved tubed frames coming out this one works for me. The curves are subtle and in the right places. I love a super low standover height and a curved TT makes it happen. The Maelstrom for example, love the standover on that frame.
