I recently picked up a used Jericho Leadfoot. I loosened the set screws, and the EBB seems frozen. Do I need to remove the non-drive side bottom bracket shell?

Are EBB's interchangable? Meaning, could I replace my set-screw style shell for a fancy expanding one like a bushnell?

Im pretty sure they are interchangable but dont hold me to it but let me ask my service manager aboot that eh !!!
