Wanted to get your guys opinion on which crank length I should run...165mm or 170mm? The Socom has a 14.125" BB height. I currently ride and uzzi vpx with a 14.8" BB height and 170mm cranks. I haven't had any issues hitting rock with my vpx due to the tall BB height. I will also be ridding up my local trails with the socom. So I think the 170mm length might help with my climbs.
On the other hand, I have never ridden 165mm cranks so I don't know what I am potentially get myself into. Any help would be great.

mine had 170's, hit my pedals a lot on my 2 DH trips, but I probably would have hit with 165's as well. Mentally, 165's defeat me anyways, so I will take a few pedal taps.

I think you'll be fine with 170s. 5mm isn't that much of a difference. I run 165s, but my bike is considerably lower the way it's set up.
