Anyone know anything about Cole wheels, or to be more specific, their Massif Wheelset? Ride them? Impressions? Please no e-spec....

I have a lot of experience with the Coles, and I have to say that they are pretty damned well built. Not the world's lightest wheels, but they're probably up there with the strongest anyway.
Pretty interesting way of spoke attachment, and there is quite a bit of machining on the hubs, they're pretty intricate.
Any other questions?

And you MAY be in the wrong place(a public discussion forum?) to avoid E-Speculation, Bikerpunk! Besides, Impressions ARE E-speculation... be it good or bad.
Aren't Spank rims along the lines of Halos, Azonic? Heavy but decent?
Impressions could come from use of the product too though.....

I really believe in their stuff, the technology used, etc. This isn't "e-speculation," as I have as many miles on Cole wheels as probably just about anybody out there right now. I don't have too much experience riding the DH wheels, but their road and XC/trail stuff rules.

The new Mountain Bike Action has a review of the Aries Carbons, their carbon-rimmed XC wheels.
Having been riding a set of these for going on a year now, I have to say the review is pretty much spot-on. Plus it's cool rocking carbon-rimmed MTB wheels...
The Massifs use a different version of their "DSA" technology, it's not a twin-thread spoke, but a straight-pull spoke.
