what changes if any were done to v10's between '02 and '04? thanks!

i know at one point they included pinch bolts where the frame and rear end hold the axles for the pivots, that cured a bit of the excessive play that tends to appear after some months of racing.

Along with all the pinchbolt pivots and strengthened lower linkage piece they decreased the weight by a minimal amount each year and the biggest difference is that each year they made the head tube angle and thus the wheelbase shorter. ride a first generation 02 and a new 04 and you will notice that its much quicker steering.

the play that people talk about is more the lack of keeping their pivots tight and slightly ovalizing bearing races and pivot shafts. the bikes really are amazingly stiff as long as you keep an eye on things.

Do you have to keep an eye on things while riding too?
That might pose a problem if someone has only one eye.
