We test fit one on a square tube DHR and it would just BARELY contact the downtube. Sanding away the clearcoat a little bit or the edge of one of the adjuster tubes would probably be all that's needed to clear it.

You realise the bottom out bumper has a nasty habit of compressing too, right?

You could buy a complete DH bike with great spec for the amount of money minus the inane amount of time it took to do what he did and spend the money on XTR crap...and probably still come out with a lighter bike.
