Brian Lopes took home the gold medal and $2,250 in the Giant Slalom on Friday at Crankworx. Jill Kintner also had no problem winning the gold in the women's division.

Although there had been rain the day before, the course was mostly dry by the end of the day for the races. The first match in the pro division had an unexpected start when both riders crashed off the first large step-up. With few other exceptions, all of the riders were smooth on the course that zig-zaged through the Boneyard.
