I'm looking for the best maxxis xc tire for east coast riding. I'm using 2.25 ardents, and want something lighter but equal in performance. I'm a DH'r that XC's so it needs to hold up to aggresive ridind. My first guess would be the HighRoller 2.1 120 TPI folding bead.

Might try the advantage. Even the 2.1's have a large volume, if memory serves me right they looked about the same size as my mountain king 2.4.

Seems blueskycycling has them on sale for $25 too.

The high roller 2.1's are skinny. Much thinner in width than the advantage 2.1's. I liked how HR's performed but ultimately went to the advantage 2.1 because of the larger volume.


The advantage 2.1's are a hair smaller than the 2.35 minions dhf and highrollers but lighter.
