hi there!! I have the chance to buy the avid juicy 7 2005 cheaper than the avid juicy 5 2006, but I´m worried as Ive heard Avid juicy 7 had some issues involving noise & shuddering, but would you do?; have anybody tested both brakes and say sth. about them?? avid juicy 7 are like 20 bucks cheaper than avid juicy 5 2006 so I think its quite a great deal!!thank you for your opinions

i have both the older and newer set of juicys and have not had any problems with either set

I have 05 Juicy 7s, and have no problems. I have 05 Juicy 5s on the UPS truck right now for my squishy bike. For the money, I can't imagine it being a big difference. The noise was from the rotors. I think you could sand the sharp edge with emory cloth and be good.
