When in college I managed a band named Snaut...pronounced "Snot." They toyed with the idea of changing the name to "Free Beer" but then decided maybe that was not such a good name to be putting on the marquee outside of bars and clubs.

There was a punk band in Berkeley in the 80's called Free Beer.

They played many shows with the band DTK. (Defend the Keg)

Whats even funnier is you didnt edit that post... so you sorta pre-edited it...
I've noticed there is some sort of delay on posts where you can make edits before it says "Edited". I spell check myself all the time w/ this.

Way back in the eighties when Johnny Quest was still playing hardcore shows, we did a show with "Circle of ****." At the Saalam Holy Center no less.

Yep, sure was. Bandit on guitar.

Small world. I saw you guys maybe a dozen times in Knoxville TN way back around 90-92 or so. JQ was the first live show I ever saw. I was 17 and had to bribe the door man to get in the club. I still have your 10,000 summers cd somewhere.

Which club? We used to have a lot of fun in Knoxville. It's all kinda blurry now -- towards the end we were doing close to 200 shows a year. But, damn it was fun while it lasted.

I want to say a place called Planet Earth??? Believe it or not a little known band called Hootie and the Blowfish opened the show. I recall thinking they sucked even then.

Nice, it is interesting, if not amazing, how many of the rad musicians we know and love have suffered horrible injuries and have picked up playing as a way to rehab.

Oh, and Platero y Tu is a RAD band name. Props if anyone has read the book Platero y Yo by Jimenez.
