Cortozone10 usually works, then go see your doctor and get the shot. Not sure what it's actually called, but ask for the anti poison oak shot, they'll know what you're talking about.

Find the time to get the shot (its some sort of steroid). I can't even begin to tell you the relief the shot brings in a very short period of time. I had poison ivy on my chest and arms pretty bad once...seeping juice and everything...got the shot and I was almost completely healed in 48hrs. If I ever get that crap now, I go straight to the docs and beg for the needle.
