What a great idea.. I like it. Lets see re durability..My normal seatpost is 1 mm too big as it is difficult to put down. That idea would solve that. Plus lower weight.

I prefer less buttons/levers to touch on the handle bar. Get rid of front derailleur and lever for eventual dropper post thus making cockpit cleaner.

I understand that some prefer dropper posts, I wait for a XTR electronic, Bluetooth enabled one.

Reminds me of a Titec Scoper with an easier-to-operate QR.

Granted it would add a lever back to the bar, but if I took my Titec Scoper and scared up an ol' IRD remote seatpost QR, hooked up a thumbie. . . .
