I have a mostly stock Nomad, currently with a Fox 36 Van RC2 on it. The budget doesn't allow for a DH bike, so I want to find an adjustable travel fork to allow for riding N* while still going on XC rides with the girlfriend. The 888 SL ATA caught my eye, being only 6.5lbs and having 40mm(?) of adjustable travel. Some questions:
-Does the fork adjust down to 160mm or 170mm? The Marz. website says that ATA has 40mm of adjustment, but they list the 888 SL ATA as 170-200mm.
-How do I figure out what sort of head angle I would be looking at in the max and min travel modes? I want to know if it will adjust down enough for reasonable climbing with the stanchions way up in the crowns.
-Any other fork ideas? I've thought about the 66 SL ATA and the Totem 2-Step, but why would those be better than the 888?
