excellent, finally an enduro "series" even if it is only two weekends. Would be cool to see some super D at cap forest too. Too bad about no slalom. No PA is interesting...
the Enduro Races at Hood river will be dominated by the 5- 6 inch trail bike.. but the hood races will be full on extended burly DH races and a full on DH bike is going to do better there is what I have herd.. and for those of you that dont know schweitzer.. It will be gnarly.. that hill is a pile of rocks... dirt is few and far between..

I dunno, if they use the same course they did last year at hood a big bike would be fine up top but will definitely lose you time on the pedally singletrack down low. Now if they moved it over to ski bowl or the Alpine trail that might be a different story.

I never made it to any of the FR races besides a PA race.. I just know that the Hood river race will be a small(ish) bike will probably be best on a AM-Light FR bike.. I am not sure what the hood courses are like.. my riding buddies that rode the 2nd to last hood DH race said that that course was some of the more gnar stuff that he had ridden.. So I Dont know, I am getting my info from the FR cup site..
"Stage1 starting one mile above Timberline Lodge at the base of Palmer Glacier at 7000′. The stage will drop over 4,000′ in 20 minutes and has a mix of warp speed roads and rocky singletrack during the first half, and ends with 10 minutes of perfectly buffed, dreamy single track. There are no real climbs on this circuit, but fitness is sure to be key in this stage. Stage 2 will be contested on the Technical DH tracks of Mt Hoods Ski Bowl on Saturday the 11th. Courses here are fast, rough, and very physically challenging with times around 5 minutes. Stage 3 on Sunday morning will once again start high up above tree line where riders will repeat the first half of Fridays Track (with a few changes likely thrown in). Stage 3 will have fast times around 10 minutes. There is not a lot of pedaling required on this course, so hang on for a wild ride down the hill!"
I guess that you could do it on a AM bike (as I probably will because a 6 inch bike is all I have) .. but it just sounds like a even that I would rather be on a full DH bike.. we will see though..
