It came with a 8.75x2.75 swinger 4way and a jr.t, I just put a Marz. 888RC2XVA and am looking to buy a Fox 4.0 8.5x2.5 my ques. is how much different are the two shocks and what will it do to my travel(limits,bottomout) also can I go with a bigger shock like a 9x3?

Ps- my 4way has a slow air leak 30psi a week sitting in my living room are there any regular probs. like this?

A 9x3 probably won't work. An 8.5x2.5 will give you about 90% of the travel you had before, slacker seat and head tube angles, and a lower BB. Since your shock and the DHX are the same length when compressed (6") you won't have any issues with frame on frame contact. It should work OK, but you'll need to think about whether or not those geo changes are something you'd like.
