Zerode G2 - Large
The frame is in great shape, just a few small scratches and cable rub. All of the other components are in equally good shape. The wheels are good shape, smooth and dent free, the brakes are freshly bled with new pads, the suspension is recently serviced, the fork only has 2...
I had the same experience with the Purgatory, I think the profile is too round and the side knobs too small. I'd recommend the Captain Control in 2.0 out back. In the last year I've run a Purg 2.3, Ground control 2.3, the Captin, and a 2.35 High Roller, while running either a folding minion...
I had a Vivid Air on my Canfield Jedi with the same issue, from what I gather you can loosen the eyelet using a pin spanner and rotate it to fit frames with horizontal shock mounts like the 2011 Demo. However some shocks come with the eyelet aligned incorrectly, and don't allow you to attach a...
I spotted one in a lift line at Northstar this Saturday, same 2011 frame, but with yellow and black paint. I didn't get a pic but it was mostly bright yellow with black accents, sort of like a TR450. I think it looked a bit better than the red/white scheme.
I went riding a few weeks ago with a friend who has an injured wrist, he took a few pics and videos. Not sure why the pics are so small but if you click on them you can view a larger version, enjoy.
Rock Drop
Step Down
Little Double
Steep Drop
And a video he made.

I am sure the 8.75x2.75 will work, however I think the 8.5 feels a lot better, but I like a lower slacker bike. His is the same boxy frame as yours and there have been no problems with the bike or shock or fit at all.

If you get the 8.75x2.75 you will get a bit more travel due to the longer stroke, you should cycle through the travel w/o the spring to ensure the frame doesn't bottom out, but I am fairly sure it will work.
If you get the 8.5x2.5 you will have the same travel but the bike will be a bit...
OK thanks. Does the shock that comes with the demo have standard 15mm eyelets though? From the manual it look like the rear uses a 15mm axle in the rear and a 8mm bolt in the front w/ reducers. I this right?
Thanks
Hi,
I was wondering if the DHX that came with the 2008 Demo 8 is a normal DHX or is somehow custom for the frame, and will any old 8.75 by 2.75 DHX fit on the Demo using the appropriate spacers.
I know the Swinger on my 2005 D8 had a small eyelet so a DHX needed a extra reducer...
Fox has a fairly detailed set of instructions on rebuilding the cart on their site.
Have a look at, http://service.foxracingshox.com/consumers/index.htm
Good luck.
Hi,
I recently broke the lowers on my '05 888 and Marzocchi wants $190 for new ones (with rebuild) which is a bit much. I was wondering if any one knows where I could get them for less, or have a extra pair you could sell me? Also do lowers from '04-'07 work universally on all the 888s with...
I was in you position a short while ago, I though my 05 bighit rode fine, then I tried a friends 05 demo 8 and realized how bad the bighit actually is, so I ended up buying a Demo. I would suggest doing the same.
I am 5'9" and have a med. It has a 50mm stem and it works great. I use it half for xc and half for freeriding. With the seat up it climbs fine and i feel comfortable.
I have one and like it. The rear 24 doesnt change things that much. The stickers come right off and it looks much better. Ive got mine with a 7 inch 888rc and it feels great.
