Does anyone know what chain device will work in combination with the XT trekking cranks?

I bought an MRP Mini G2 with the steel backplate and this seems not to work as the chainring and bolts catch the backplate.

Any suggestions?

Ok so I managed to make things work with a little filing but only with the ring in the 'outer' position.

How bad would this be for my chain/cassette? I will do some climbing on it so I don't want to have my chain break..

As in m771 on an 83mm bb? You have to grind the granny tabs and run it out the outer plates. Any "light guide" style chain device will work, g2, mini g2, lg1, lg1+ etc
