2year old homebrew sour... Not bad for my first attempt.
got my hands on a 6er of new belgium ranger IPA. really good.
finally had bourbon county this weekend. it was the barleywine variant. not a huge barley wine guy, but it was soooooo good.
how old was it?
its the 2014 release. IIRC, the bottled on date is late october.
still very good.. i have a couple in the cellar i am going to keep to age, the rest will be (hopefully) traded away.

keep a few. barleywine tends to age quite well. my homebrew barleywine was bottled at the beginning of 2012, and i have a bottle or 2 left that are from 2010.
i planned on keeping atleast 3 or 4. im not a huge barleywine person, but this one was the best i have ever had.
now if only i can my greasy little paws on the other BC variants!

had sierra nevada's blindfold black ipa and their golden ipa last night.

neighbor gave me a ballast point grapefruit sculpin over the weekend. damn was that good.
very good brew. would not mind trying the habanero sculpin, i was told its harder to find than the GF variant.
I had forgotten that my wife had picked up a mixed 12 pack while we were in WI in December visiting friends.

Local liquor-man said he is getting 5 cases of GF Sculpin on Friday... looks like I will get to try a bottle. If it sucks, I'm kicking you in the nuts.

if you like ipas that have subtle grapefruit taste, then you should like this one; its not completely over the top like the habanero variant.

so, i had a bayhawk porter last night... it did not taste like a porter one bit. it was slightly sour and the chocolate was very hard to detect. anyone had one of these? it has a 68 on BA, so im glad im not the only one who thought it was weird.

Got a 6-er of Grapefruit Sculpin. There will be hell to pay if this beer sucks.
So GF Sculpin... unnecessary application of grapefruit. Regular Sculpin is better, but GF is palatable.
