History shows iconoclasts have predominantly been Christians - don't have to go far, just ask the Native Americans (one of the most effective genocides in modern history). We've also got book burning, movie/videogame/textbook/science bans, dry counties, sunday laws, etc, etc...

Climate change is far more unstoppable than ISIS ever will be and given that we're less than 5% of the global population using 1/4 of its resources we're going to be destroying a lot more natural and cultural heritage sites:

I wasn't arguing the history of civilization, merely commenting how middle eastern artifacts are being trashed currently and that previously 'stolen' works may be all that remain in the future.
