I'm driving home from work, and for those that know, I was coming down Kingsbury into the Carson Valley. I see strong lights and police rollers at the intersection of 88/Mottsville, and when I get to the bottom of Kingsbury, there is a police car directing traffic right or left, not through to the intersection. Must be a very bad accident.

Get in to work Saturday, and wife finds out one of our very good friends/coworker was killed in the accident. She had just dropped off a another coworker about 8-10mins earlier, and was heading home herself. Minimal details are that an earlier accident that afternoon at the same intersection took out the stop lights, and NDOT had put up the temporary stop signs. They were low to the ground, and after stopping, coworker was crossing 88, only to be t-boned by another driver that did not see the signs. No, apparently, none of the flashing red lights used to warn traffic were operational at that time, and no other lighted signage (the kind that warn of "be aware ahead") were being used........ yet. As she was thought so highly of at work, it was a very, very sad day. Hard to be upbeat at a casino with news like this.

Wife knew her very well, as they had called each other "bitch mommas" in the past, and would flash funny gang hand signals to each other if their games were dead. Though it may not mean much, wife found some comfort knowing coworker is with our daughter and the daughter of another coworker. Good people get together any where/every where.
