the thing is, which bike do I put it on? My XC bike that it was meant for...my Dh bike? a motorcycle? substitute it for a car-shock??

Nah, 5th Elements - Progressive licenced Curnutt's technology, only they moved it into a more common external reservoir, instead of having a long shock body.

You think yours is big you should have see the 11.15" Curnutt I had on my Fly. Now thats big.

I have the Avy on my Fly now. It even bigger at 11.25". Half the weight in my 43 lb Fly is in the rear shock and thats with a Ti spring.

yeah, i like it. No shock is worth that much $$...but whatever. I like how it pedals, pretty much what I expected there. I should have left it with the settings that I had when I first set it up, cause it was better then, but I have to go out on a ride and really dial it in. I just rode my butt off yesterday but didn't really dial it in.

It's a friggin anchor.
