Hello,

I am building a brand new 2012 GT Distortion up, and I have a few options for rear shocks - all Fox. There in lies the troubles, as I have VERY little ride time/experience on Fox rear shocks (especially air).

So which to use - and impressions on these please, specifically on this bike?
165mm X 38mm. 114mm total frame travel.
Rider 210lbs - nothing massive, but aggressive rider.

** All specific shock info taken directly off the shocks (IE tune specs, Evolution Series, etc)**

Brand New 2010 Fox Float RP23. Boost Valve.
Rebound Tune 'M'. Boost Valve Tune '225'. Velocity Tune 'L'.
- So what do all those mean on this shock? Rebound Tune M, etc, etc....
- I did what little research I could (nothing specific to this bike) and it appears as though the RP23 Boost Valve shocks had issues?? They perform very well it seems when they work, but are prone to 'major failure'.
- Any help with the shock - is this 'tune kit', whatever it means - suitable?

Brand New 2012 Fox Float RL. Evolution Series.
- Is this a good shock? Anything good or bad? I cannot find much info in it...

Thanks for any input. I can't wait to ride this - just want to make the correct rear shock choice!!

Thanks
