Fox Fork offests.....which is it?

Fox has their 36 forks for 26" wheels listed at two different offsets.

37mm for the 831 dirtjump and fixed travel trail forks

But then 42 for all the talas models.

Why the hell would they vary the offests that much between the talas and fixed travel versions?

Is that mistake? The only thing I can see different is the axles on the talas ones are all 20mm and the fixed travel and 831s are 15/20. 42-5=37 so maybe it's science. And by science I mean a mistake.

Just measured my 26" Float. Current gen, with the 20/15mm axle. It's got a 42mm offset, accomplished by a 37mm offset in the lower leg casting, and another 5mm at the crown. Their drawing is just wrong.

Side note: having that axle convert to 15mm has to be the most pointless thing ever.

Sure thing.

It's a good fork. Damper feels pretty similar to a Pike, but the chassis is stiffer, and the spring has better mid stroke support.
