Heard the sirens, they kept coming from many directions. Speed Limit on Murietta is 35 he had to be hauling ass

He jumped the curb killed a mother and daughter walking on the side walk and injured two boys in the back yard. We had been driving that same stretch minutes earlier. Reports are that he had been at the Downtown Wine Festival. he only made it a dozen blocks in his Vette before he caused this

Police determined that Jones was driving under the influence of alcohol when he lost control of a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette near a curve in the road and struck a 40-year-old woman and her 14-month-old daughter as they were walking on a pathway near the complex, Sanchez said. Both died at the scene.

Two other victims, a 7-year-old boy and a 6-year-old boy, who were in a backyard in the complex, were hit by debris from the vehicle and were taken to hospitals for treatment of abrasions and complaints of pain.

The Corvette slammed into two trees and the back of the apartment complex.

Jones suffered injuries in the crash and was also taken to a hospital before being booked into jail, police said. He had a preliminary blood-alcohol level of 0.13 percent, more than the legal limit of 0.08 percent

0.13 isn't even that high. Sad story any way it came down.

Unfortunately, or society/civilization essentially promotes drinking and driving. How many restaurants offer alcohol, and on any given night, how many people are having at least a drink and later driving home? Sure, some drink more than others, but with virtually no public transportation (comparatively) and the sprawl of our country, it's pretty much guaranteed that people will be drinking and driving. This is why cops set up the unconstitutional checkpoints of course, because they KNOW people are doing it, so they are willing to go past the law to get people (common law enforcement problem). Of course punishing a few people here and there will never stop the problem, which is far bigger than people just "choosing" to drink and drive. On an individual basis, sure, but in terms of ever making a dent in it, you have to either remove the forces that make people do this (so re-wire some people's brains) or remove the other factors that allow it (method of transportation is driving). No one is going to wait around 45 minutes for a stinky taxi that will cost $50 just to get home.

Front Range, dude...
The AF has a program that offers a no questions asked ride home to anyone who calls, I have been a regular volunteer for over 10 years and have given many rides to those who are smart enough to call. It has been an interesting and rewarding program. Kind of interesting when you see the same face more than once and are offered "rewards" for getting them home safely...

So I took these following the same route the drunk took. all I can figure is that he was speeding and weaving through other cars to fuck it up that bad. he crashed before the road bends to the right Hell of a Memorial where the two died
