Looks like a modded monster frame/engine with a new swingarm/subframe, front fork and wheels. I could see it being a lot of fun, as I own a few Duc's, but I also am unsure of what the weight would be.

About 300 pounds too heavy for a dirtbike?

I think for more of a dual sport bike that weight is alright, but I don't think I'd feel comfortable sending that thing big over a set of monster doubles at that weight.

My M1000 is 432 dry, I think my 748 with all the race bits is around 400, and my ex-wive's 750 is 385 I think.

My Husaberg FC400 was about 230 with a full tank of gas. My guess is that pig is at least tree fitty.

Article claims its rocking 395 dry, so almost double a regular MX. But its an Adventure Bike...

it's like a fat chick, just because you can doesn't mean you should.

edit: probably should have read the article. i thought someone just took their ducati and turned it into a dirt bike.

I think if you were doing a lot of mild off road for long distance, the weight might be nice for smoothing things out.

BMW makes a sweet flying pig, for sure. I'm just a power:weight weenie and that Ducati, while kinda cool, would be weak.
