right here -> .
I can't find it at the moment but I could swear someone had a very extensive list of places to ride (lift access, downhill resorts around the world) w/links to information about each place. I think it was linked to google maps as well. I can't find it but it would be a great addition to the "Riding" section here.

Add any of these that you think are useful, sorry if I seem to be tooting my own trumpet here cos most of those are my posts.

I have to scoot but I'll add them all...I think the tuning is especially useful but plenty of people ask "how does an X compare to a Z?" Therefore the reviews are good stuff too.

I'd like to suggest, sad as it might be to see them go, that some of the referenced threads are de-stickied. Just my opinion, but with a central reference, I'm not sure of the need for the sunday thread or evil thread.

agreed. and they seem to be used enough that they are always on the first page anyways...

I really like this new reference thread. Thanks Sandwich! :thumb:

good thread. might be worth adding a 'TIRES' category.
Tires are stupid. If they're made out of rubber and have lumps, people will buy them. That's all there is to it.

Just ask kenda and continental.
if you have any threads in mind, just post up and I'll add them to the list. Otherwise I'll wait until the next person asks or I stumble upon one.

Is there a good thread on crank comparison? Search didn't turn up much and I don't want to start a new thread if I don't have to.

It might be worth it to start a new one. From what I remember, there are only RF vs. Shimano threads, which basically come down to RF HAD a bad interface, which is better or can be worked around, and shimano is simply great from the get-go but isn't super light...or something.

Sandwich and BV - Thank You so much!

In the past 3 months I've been experiencing all kinds of issues on my end from a computer crashing, to a hospital stay, to moving to a new location. Last time I had a chance to look at the DH forum I saw something like 10 "sticky" posts and even I thought it was getting ridiculous... something had to give.

By creating a thread that has a list of "Archive" and "Tech & Tuning" threads is a GREAT idea - a very effective way to manage data and keep everything accessible.

I plan on overhauling the EVIL T&T thread starting next Monday and evenutally re-organize the I.H. T&T thread as well.

Thanks again - this will definitely benefit the riders, and in the end - that's the whole point of all this!

Cheers!

This is a good one, can you merge the raw finish question thread and the widest direct mount stem question thread into this as well? Gracias.

none yet, but I'll keep my eye out. If you want to post a thread specifically to that, and not a digression to which east or west coast resort is the best, it'll definitely go up there!
