Hopefully not too stupid a question...just in a bit of a hurry and don't want to order the wrong parts.

If I want to get rid of my 4-hole SLX bashguard and throw on a big ring for a 3 day cross country ride, do I need anything other than just the ring?

no race, just a casual ride with some friends over a few days. honestly, i have no desire to do it....especially as I'll be dusted on my 26er the whole time. hoping a big ring will at least give me another gear

just make sure you remember to dial out the limit screw to accommodate the big ring. you may even need to shift your front der slightly upwards so the cage clears. i'm assuming your shifter is 3 spd?

yes, i still have an old 3-ring front derailleur on there. i need to re-adjust both front and rear for this ride anyways. just not sure if i need different ringbolts

no, the bolts holding on the middle ring and bash will work.

I do and I appreciate that. I had to get it overnighted from Amazon (only 3 bucks extra). bike needs to be ready to roll when I go to bed tomorrow night.
