fucked if I know. 410mm reach measurement (16.1) with a 24.3 eTT...?

I asked brant on MTBR if maybe he measured something wrong, and his response was something along the lines of "FUCK YOU EVERYBODY ELSE IS WRONG". So there's that.

Ffs. 13.5 is higher than my DH bike. I'm pretty convinced that Brant has no idea what he's doing.

seems like he used to (ie, my bagger with a 65* h/a and 13" bb w/ 160mm fork). alas.

i'm currently on a demo chumba rastro, which is pretty solid - bb is about 12" (with a 140mm 36); though h/a is a bit steeper @ 67.5*, it's still a ripper. a bit of a premium price as it's us-built.

Woah, they still exist? That actually looks pretty damn nice. I could always put an angleset on it.

Also you might want to check out the new Evil Sovereign. Info is pretty non-existent, but apparently they are out there.

Ha. I wasn't talking to Kevin, so it maybe sounded like the guy I was talking to just didn't have them in front of him or something. Still a little odd.

I'm waiting to hear back from BTR about shipping a frame to the states, but that thing looks badass. If they can get me one soonish I think that's going to be the one.

They provided the info to me via email some months back. I posted them in the sov thread on mtbr...

That diagram is so full of shit, but I still think someone needs to make those into stickers and put them all over bike shops.
Yeah, my last two DH bikes have fallen into the "you suck" and "dangerous/trendwhore/you hate your toes" categories. The "you suck" one was actually too low, but my toe-hating DHR is perfect.

So. The BTR is my favorite of the bunch, but getting one to the US is going to cost about $1350. The Stylus is a little higher than I'd like, but only $800. Hm.

Sorta steeper and higher (stack/standover wise) than would be ideal but it could be fun and certainly cheaper than the BTR... hm.

Yeah. I could make it work for sure. Appreciate the suggestion. It's a matter of deciding if I want to pay more to get exactly what I want, or save some cash and compromise a little. I'm debating.

The UK is indeed rammed full of big steel hardtails with stupid long travel forks... Some dick in a magazine used the name "Hardcore Hardtails" to describe them and every shit rider in the country simply had to have one!

They're doing the same thing with Fatbikes now.

Might be worth emailing this guy. http://stoutbikes.blogspot.com/ I've been beating the hell out of one of his street frames for a couple seasons. He'll build just about anything you want for about the same price as some of the nicer "stock" frames. Not sure about turnaround times these days, but couldn't hurt to check.

production privee shan or whatever? 66* HA, 460mm reach in the biggee size.
Be wary of PP.

Lovely paint...which will flake as soon as you even look at it.
Ride it like an AM bike, come short on a jump and pringle the frame? Well, in that case you won't be warranteed - riding the bike not like it was intended.
Over tighten their DM stems slightly? ...Snap!

Their stance on warranty issues seem very similar to BOS in some ways. It's first and foremost the customer's fault, until proven otherwise.

Just sold my Bank. I'll be ordering a BTR Ranger as soon as they get back to me about an... interesting color request. :thumb:
