Hey All,

I took apart my 2002 Manitou Black Elite 100/120 fork to tune it up and I think one of my kids (one that cannot talk yet) took the preload adjuster.

Preload Adjuster Assembly 85-4837

I have been looking all over for a replacement. I've tried all the online shops that do fork servicing, Manitou (now owned my Hayes), ebay, craigslist etc...
It looks like my best bet is to find a 2002 Manitou Black Elite 100/120 fork somewhere and use it for parts.
Does anyone here know (where to get) or have either the Preload Adjuster Assembly 85-4837, or a 2002 Manitou Black Elite 100/120 fork to sell?

Thanks!

13 or 14 year old fork? That thing is a collectible, best served on your garage wall.

Time to upgrade. You will not be disappointed

it would be a complete crapshoot and highly unlikely to find replacement parts for manitou forks from the pre-HBG days now. I'm going to second BigBoi's recommendation for a new (or lightly used fork). You'll probably be able to find a decent deal, since i'm assuming you'll need a fork with a 1-1/8" straight steerer, and most stuff these days is tapered.
