I have just bought a 2002 Iron Horse SGS DH frame with out a shock and I have ran into the problem of finding what shock size the bike takes. I looked on Avalanches web site and they say 8.75x2.75 while the seller is saying 7.75x2.75. What is the right size? PLEASE HELP

i don't think anyone makes 7.75 x 2.75. The shock you need is an 8.75

If its a 2002 SGS DH ( with the 150 x 12mm rear hub)it uses a 8.5 i2i and 2.5 stroke. The 8.75 and 2.75 o the Avy site is using the lower leverage position on the link but using the extra stroke to get it back to the roughly 8" of travel.
the 7.785 or whatever is for the freeride-g-spot SGS.
