I know there are some but from what I've seen, they convert from 142x12 down to 135 QR. Anything out there that converts from 142mm x 12 to 135 x 12?

135 and 142 use the same hub shell so it just comes down to the axle conversion kits offered by the manufacturer. Hope and DT are good for that.

Yea, it's just the end caps that dictate 142 or 135. There might be a few OEM hubs (specialized I'm looking at you) that might be dedicated 142 but most aftermarket manufacturers have one hub body that fits both and you select which end cabs to use.
