Had a similar problem with the Vivid which came on my Sunday. Turned out it was a lack of preload; rtfm and it needed a minimum of two turns preload, which actually feels quite a lot for a base setting. Still happens every now and then and I just wind some back on.

Agree with the D2 build quality comments. The standard of materials, gluing, QC etc. on a D2, I've seen better on £50 helmets. They look good but that's about it. If the newest Giro had been out at the time I bought the D2 I would've gone for that instead. The D3 seems better, but still seen...

Tbh, I think any newer Boxxer is going to feel better than the antique I'm running. :-)
My old Boxxers are getting quite tired (06 uppers, 05 lowers) and it seems more economical to get a set of newer ones second hand than keep the old ones running (new seals, bushings, crush washers and all that required).

Buckow, I would have thought from the measurements that a large Gambler would have about the same cockpit space as a medium Sunday, but I'd be wary of buying a large bike without trying it; I've always ridden Meds.

Whats the sizing like on these? Had a look on the Scott website and the Med seems quite short in the TT compared to the Med Sunday Ive got just now. I know heehaw about reach and stack numbers though.
Well I managed to get it nearly to the limit of adjustment with some flexing and tightening the screws down hard. Then I went and took a digger on my first day with it so the top looks like it's been attacked by a dremel. Sh!t happens.

Looks like the spare peaks are sold one size fits all, so either its been drilled a bit off or they just dont want you to run it that high. But why give you so much adjustment...
