Woulda been sick to see what SH could pull off. A real bummer after so many years of injury and getting back on top to be injured again.
Eliot Jackson 2 minutes back in qualis. What happened?
Edit:This happened(@37 seconds)...
Just picked up one of the 4130 Sovereigns for cheap. What's the deal with the seatpost insert? My frame didn't come with one. Where does one get this? Or, what's the seattube diameter without the insert? Is it 32.4?
Any leads?
Man, KHS sure knows how to make a ****ty looking bike.
And you'd think they'd at least chop the chain and brake lines to the proper length before a photo shoot.
Yup. Breaking the head of the femur is probably similar to having his hip replaced. It'd be pretty amazing if he made it back up to the same level.
Sure hope he can pull it off though!
I'm surprised everyone ELSE doesn't crash. Gwin looked super smooth, most other riders were just hanging on through the rocks (kinda like I'd be doing).
Wonder what it would cost to send the frame back to Ventana and get a tapered headtube put in...Probably a lot.
I say that because I notice the 1.5 crown to makes a huge difference, much more than 20mm vs. qr.
Nope, not screwed at all. The bearings thread into the eccentric BB shell, so you'll just take 'em out and put them into the Transition. You may or may not need the spacers. My bike has a 73mm shell, and I run one spacer behind the left cup.
If it spins smoothly, bearings and races are fine. Notchiness indicates it's either too tight, or your races are pitted and nasty.
Not abnormal to have a little wiggle in a freehub body.
You can always rely on JonKranked to not have a useful contribution to a thread.
Sandwich, you need to pull off the end cap with a 5mm allen before you can access the cone wrench flats. Beats me how this happened, but it sounds like your bearings are facacta'd. You'll want to tear it apart...
