I am not a fan of the 29 stuff but was considering doing a mullet setup on my Jedi. My Jedi fits my kid better than the dhr and I would rather see him riding. That got me thinking about a mullet on the dhr. Bought this DHR frame from a ride monkey guy and its like brand new. I could buy...
well I have 27.5 boss idylle that I can rebuild which would give me the room for a 27.5 front.
I am no geometry expert. I get that it would slacken the head angle and maybe raise the bottom bracket which may not be all that bad. Just not sure what other negatives it might create
Anyone still running a dw link dhr?
Anyone try a mullet setup with a 27.5 on the front?
I have no idea how this would work but my son has fallen in love with my canfield jedi and I have this turner kicking around
I know its a outdated 26" bike but I don't care just trying to figure out how...
I have one and I love it.
I want to try out some other bikes just because there are so many awesome bikes out there, one being the Norco HSP but my Jedi is so good I don't want to give up.
Even though Canfield seems to be MIA, every time I have ever had a question either Vin back in the day or...
all great info thanks
interesting how the graph shows the way the rear actually moves and how the Jedi goes back to vertical as it gets higher in travel
love the look of the new Norco and its super hard to beat the value of the commencal. My Jedi is a little short in the reach so looking for...
To the smart suspension monkeys, I am wondering how the new batch of bikes compare to the Canfield Jedi?
I see some of the newer frames are now boasting about the benefits of reward travel as well as their vertical travel such as the new Norco HSP. I was told by my local bike shop that the new...
I actually emailed them the other day and I did get a response.
I will get them the specs on the fork and see where it goes
In the meantime I might try to pick up something else, a fox 40 or a boxer since I have no idea how long it will take for parts and could most likely justify having a spare
Every online distributor that google gives me that has bos stuff does not have anything in stock
Good to know on the fox wipers, maybe I can go that route
Thanks
Anyone know who would rebuild a bos idylle rare?
I know bos is difficult to deal with and it seems like most don't get involved in bos stuff. I cant even find seals online.
This would be in the US
Updated and in nice shape
Following parts have less than 6 rides on them
-Fox rc4 shock with modified link
-sun ringle add expert wheelset 26"
-minion dhf tires
-fox rear shock bushings
-boxer team with charger damper, extra springs
-race face atlas bars and stem
-zee brakes
-cane creek angleset...
Trying to get this right cant get it through my small brain
full closed would be all the way (-) even though the dial is all the way out counter clockwise?
full open would be all the way (+) even though the dial is all the way in clockwise?
170 lbs rider and I have been running
350 lb spring...
I have been riding a lot of natural stuff vs park groomed trails just like the stuff kazlx posted in the pic. I don't have lots of time on many dh bikes but some seem to be more playfull and good in the technical stuff while others really come alive when they can run wide open at speed. Just...
cant really find one around here to demo or check out in a shop. The reviews seem to be all good for the older version. Just reading on the website it sounds like they put a lot of new fine tuning into the new design. How well would you say your older frame does in the tight rocky rooty...
I finally finished my Sunday upgrade. Cut the link installed the rc4, and new angleset. Hoping to get it up to highland this weekend. I have read other posts here with suggested settings for the rc4. Most riders are either lighter or heavier than I, so since I am an idiot with tuning a...
Rode it two weeks ago. All the trails in the woods that are cut between the main ski runs are super tight and steep. Very rocky, rooty and technical. Nothing groomed or manicured here. I like it and the few times I have ridden here there are very few riders there. The place gets packed in...
Any of you guys ever make a switch to another frame and come back to the sunday?
I have been looking at a dhr with the dw link but I really have very few complaints with the sunday. From what I have read here, nothing a dhx upgrade cant fix.
didnt even think about the guide since it was working perfect except those two times. I will check without the spring and put it on the stand. Hub is sun ringle with only 3 rides on it should be ok. Thanks.
While riding my sunday this weekend I noticed that the cranks/chain locked up a couple of times. Each time i was blowing through some major rock gardens so the suspension was under load and when I went to pedal the cranks were locked up. A quick back pedal and they were free again. The frame...
