    Long bikes are... bad???

I felt hey didn't really advocate going back to shorter bikes but said that for the average 180cm rider around 460 to 470mm reach seems to be the sweet spot. But then these dudes don't seem to be that lanky with long arms and all that. I just think it's difficult if you ride a 470mm reach now...

Why do they build the race bikes *at* the World Cup venue?

As far as I know they use the bike between the races for training. So of course they will make sure that everything is dialled before the next race.

    Frankenbrakes and brake improvement discussion

Weird. Everyone seems to think MT5 is a far better brake than the Shimanos. But when I semi-retired in 2015 Shimano was the Benchmark so I'm wondering if I should give the MT5 a go or not. As I'm really scrawny and even slower than two years ago I doubt I'll need more power than the 785. But I...

Danny Hart is actually 5,10. I thought he is way smaller because Warner always said that and he looks really small on the bike.

    29" DH bikes

Somehow this smells like a long-planned marketing-coup. I mean come on, the mtb-industry is pretty small. The media guys basically switch jobs with industry guys on a regular basis. Sven Martin owns vital and is the bro of rob roskopp etc. All of a sudden after evererybody and their mum...
