hmmm, cable operated mechgyro? would that defeat the purpose? I imagine continous would be rather fragile and unreliable. 2 circuits seems kind, of excessive a short thick cable(or 2) would be pretty stretchless. Now we're cookin, I call a seat on the design board.
The 10.5 isn't a problem, its the 2E. Its hard to find anything in widths. I tried a few pairs of vans half-cabs and figured i'd need about a size 14 to get the width right.
I've always been a crosstrainer/b-ball shoe guy, but the only way i could skate was in skate shoes. well cut forward 9 years, now BMXers(and everyone else too(f*ckin posers(j/k(well))) wear DCs and etnies and all that crap.

BMX's are comparatively indestructable. If you wanna ride a skatepark BMX is the only true option. I think a cruiser would be more stable for jumping...
My mom has this badass 24" diamondback mtb, Its full chromo double-butted. too bad its 1" threaded, i love cruising around in the city cause its fast like a mtb, but has a really short wheelbase.
Are you looking for tires specific to park or something that will be a jack of all trades?
I think the side knobs on your stock tires would be bad in a park because of the contact angles the tire makes with the ramps.
