Hey guys,
It's been a long time since I've posted on here. Ridemonkey has been a great website and community to learn from and meet people to ride with. Due to life changes (as in home ownership) and work I haven't been able to ride enough to make it worth keeping my DH bike. Although it's...
You are right. She wants to fix it now, yesterday, tomorrow but we can't be without a car at this point in time. That was why we had suggested she pay us for the estimate and call it done (so in a month if we get it fixed it's on our time, not HER time).
We did seek out more than one...
If we ran this through the insurance companies they would just write us a check for the damages and we could choose to fix it or pocket the $$$. Just once you pocket the $$$ you've pretty much closed the door on any repair work if you decided to have it done after the fact.
She was honest...
I understand what you guys say when if I want to repair it myself she should only be out what it costs me to repair it (or attempt to). We went and got our quotes because that was what we wanted to do. Of course a body shop will be the most expensive route that's why we got 2 different quotes...
So........wife was parked in her work lot and got nailed by the property manager going into a space. She came in and told her she hit her bumper. When she went out to look at it she thought it didn't look so bad but said that her husband (being me) would have to look at it. It's a 2007...
That is your problem right there. Those aluminum spacers aren't suppose to move at all. They should sit flush with the DU and the mounts. That play is allowing things to move and not stay centered.
If you could rig something up to take that space up then you might get it worked around for a...
If you guys ever rode Jesusita trail it's most likely torched and gone. I live right down the street from where this is all going on. From today's news Cold Springs/Tunnel is done as well. Looks like Santa Barbara's trails are toast for a while.
On the other hand I think only 10 people have...
I had the cheapo ones that came with my 5th element and ate through them pretty quickly on my M1. I switched to the ones that Fox uses (bronze colored inside) and have had little trouble or issues with them. I have the 3 piece hardware for them.
I did buy a DU bushing tool as trying to rig...
Another vote for the Arrow DHX rims. I've had mine for 4 years now, with no issues or problems out of them. It was one of the better bike choices I've made concerning the wheels. As long as you keep things tensioned enough, they'll last and be strong.
EX729's were the only other option I'd...
Same here, At first I cared, because it's a pretty expensive subscription. Then each month it's a "if you sign up now you'll get" something, but I've never to date gotten anything from my decline subscription.
I like the pictures and all, but I don't know if I'll renew it when my 2 years is...
Just remember, if you break off an easy out (or stud extractor) off in the bolt, GOOD F'n luck getting that out. They are made of hardened steel. It'll take some time to drill out.
I did this on my motorcycle a month ago. What should have taken an hour took forever. I probably had the wrong...
Well for one, here in Santa Barbara they don't like you "romping" around in any mud at all. I know of spots we use to and never got caught, mainly because a cop car couldn't get there, but the few times that we did the cops were cool about it. There was no drinking, nothing to harm so it was...
I started off last week with a runny nose that was not snot running but more like water. It'd just drip each day until about Thursday/Friday, then I started getting better. I had no coughs or anything, it was all in my head the cold. Now my wife started getting sick Friday and is full blow...
In High School, this was 10 years ago, everyone was starting to use AOL instant messenger. I started meeting girls though it just talking to them, but knowing who they were in school. I did meet a few and had romantic encounters with them, which was fine. We were younger and had fun.
Now...
He had a pretty nasty crash. I was able to search for it on youtube and I'm surprised he didn't die on impact. It wasn't the impact that killed him but his head/neck area bent around pretty bad.
I'm sure it will get pulled, maybe maybe not.
The bottom line is........he passed away doing...
Well if cash is tight you could always check the junk yard etc... for a 4L80E (might be 4L60) not sure. I know that in chevy's it's pretty common for the trans to die, especially quick if it's lifted or larger tires with the wrong gear ratios.
I would say if no to a junk yard or even...
I am pretty sure if it's anything like other specialized bikes that "use" the 135mm offset the wheel has to be a "dishless" type. Meaning the rim is centered in the hub flanges and not the axles. I thought that's what a 150mm rear end got away from, to build a stronger wheel.
I know it...
LOL well I know they come with the pads in the helmet, but I was thinking maybe there is some generic sizing to them. I know on my Mad Max helmet it was like (one size fits large, one size fits small) and there was no other pads to adjust the fit.
If anything the M/L was loose in the cheek...
Hey guys,
I went to try on a Troy Lee helmet the other day and noticed that the small was too small and the M/L was a bit too loose. I figured maybe there was a Large set of pads and a Medium set of pads that come with them?
If not I am tempted to get a The ONE helmet, because their...
Thats exactly what it is and thank god some other companies are picking up on this. Everyone knows how frustrating sizing a bike can be. And once you've made that purchase it's yours once you build it up.
Information is always good. Might save someone from making a mistake sizing up a...
