I have been running them front and rear set up tubeless and they seem to actually stay seated better than their steel bead counterparts..I was very surprised at how well they have worked. Now if they only made them in Vertstar compounds!

from what I understand the lowers are the same castings from 06 and up the only difference is the length of the stanchion on the 08 and up models i believe... That length difference is actually just off the top of the legs to allow for the drop crown use instead of the flat upper...
I have to agree with this guy. I am a big fan of the way the IXS pads dont move even on AM style pedaly rides or pump track stuff...they just dont move!

I as well as the engineers at Bell and several other companies will disagree with you on the Snell approval. Snell was developed for road racing at nearly 200mph so it has harder foam inside. As a result the lower speed and less severe impacts that MTB and Dirtbike guys experience more...
ditch the hopes for shimano, if they are too strong get the xt trails...profile hubs drag like crazy so ditch them for some stealth or even Kings on Enve hoops. I also just tried a set of envy bars and they have a really strange bend on them...lots of backsweep, kind of feel like cruiser...
