I have been riding a 2010 demo for 2.5 years now, I've smashed and replaced just about everything, forks, cranks, brakes etc etc. Here is what I have done on the rear shock
I have run the stock RC4, but it was a 2009 and I think theres been quite a few internal updates since. I couldn't...
Firstly I ride WC boxers and think they are a pile of ****, for the most part anyway and wouldn't be up for consideration of I had my time over. imo you are looking at two forks. 1: as everyone else said 888 and 2: price isn't a concern, BOS. Both from my experience are fantastic forks, both...
Yep, well poor quality manufacturing would have been a better choice of words. Im not a man who lives and dies by the statements I make on a forum, and certainly not by spelling ability
Sure I've seen some cases of poor engineering, in most cases it probably comes down to poor quality...
Every body has broken parts, from under engineered components, to that time you went arse over tit showing off to your mates. Not trying to hyjack the thred, but i would love to see that one part that broke under exceptional circumstances, or the most recient part that only lasted a few runs...
Well I ended up going to a local bike shop, who I thought knew what they were doing, unfortunately they couldn't help either. Out of frustration I just removed/stripped the dampener myself. Once I removed the internal shaft from the dampener assembly the fault was very clear. I will post up a...
Hi guys,
I did a bit of a search but couldn't find what I was looking for. I have just upgraded from 2010 WC, and now have a brand new set of 2011 WC. I pulled the lowers off for the boxxer required, initial pre useage service, lubricated the seals with slick honey etc. Now I don't know if it...
My experience with the Vivid air wasn't a positive one. It was bolted up to my demo and don't get me wrong I loved the feel of suspension with this shock, but it was just too unreliable. It just added and extra element to the dampening due to the air spring, setteled the rear and allowed me to...
I might be wrong but I think the shortest they make is 165mm, a friend of mine needed 160mm for a mod trials bike and found they were unavailable.
I have always thought about getting longer cranks and just getting the holes drilled and tapped at 155-160mm, then cutting off the excess. Have...
For me @ 5'8"-5'9" I have used a friends small quite a bit, was considering the 303rdh as an option. The small was too small but so much fun to ride and felt like a bmx, so easy to flick the back end out and drift through corners. I could probably JUST get away with it but wouldn't recommend...
When they are talking about tune a, b and c is this the dampening tune or air can ramping? can you adjust the tune if you get the wrong one for your bike or change bikes with a different leverage?
As I said I feel like I'm inbetween sizes and I didn't mention anything about reach, the reach is obviously the same on the two bikes but they have gone from a 587mm horozontal TT to a 560mm (Small frame), you should be able to feel 27mm yeah?.
I ride a small 2010 demo and at about 5'8" I find the reach spot on, however I do like a small bike but I just couldn't fit on a medium. I feel like I'm in-between sizes with the 2011 as a see they have shortened the top tube measurement, I did get a ride a Medium 2011 over the weekend (car park...
