Friction Paste w/Brakes on Carbon Bars

Just got my first carbon bars (Easton Havoc), and I know to put the friction paste at the stem. But my question is do I need to use the friction paste with the grips, brakes, and shifter too? Sorry if this has been asked before, but I did a forum search and I didn't see anything.

Stans Flow EX vs. Mavic EX823....or others

I run a Maxxis Minion 2.5 up front. I ran a Mavic EX823 up front for a few years and loved it. I wanted something a bit lighter, so I got a Stans Flow EX. The Minion tire on the Stans rim doesn't seem to hold up as well; it wants to wash out. I talked to a few people, and they all said to...

Tips for Removing Gunk from Chainstays?

I've tried a lot of things, and I've found that (for me) adhesive-backed velcro works as a pretty damn good chainstay protector. You've got to use the "hook" side, the "loop" side wears a lot quicker. I've since peeled it off the chainstays, but now I've got this good amount of adhesive...

    Spoke Length Question

I've got an old Marzocchi QR20 Plus front hub that still works perfectly, so I've never needed to get a new/different one. I'm lacing it to a Stans Flow EX 26" 32H rim, lacing 3-cross (first time on this rim). Pro Wheel Builder suggests 259.6L and 260.8R (they have it listed as 100mm width, so...

    Problem with Codes

So I got a new set of Code brakes for my Demo; 203mm front, 185mm rear. They are broken in, and I hate them. For as good as I've heard these brakes are supposed to be, I just don't like them. The problem is that there's ZERO modulation, they are either on or off. A few buddies wanted to give...

    Leatt Braces

Where's a good place to buy one? I'm going to buy one soon, and I'm hoping somebody can tell me of a place that has them for a good price. Oh, I live in SoCal, but I'm not opposed to having it shipped.

    661 Chest Protectors

I'm currently using this comp chest protector: It works fine, but it's kinda bulky. So lately, I've been thinking of getting the pro pressure suit: It looks less bulky, a bit more comfortable, but I'm not sure exactly HOW well it protects you. I like the 661 stuff, so I'm going to...
