Uhwarrie National Forest. I can think of one run in particular that is 2 miles and descends 248' It is a mix of flowy machine cut trail and NC single track. There is even a tricky rock garden in an alternative line.

In case anyone was wondering. The vegetarian dentiet was completely wrong. The trails were in great shape. A few mud holes here and there, but overall tacky at best.
A few folks from Charlotte are heading up to ride Bent Creek Saturday morning. Anyone have a feel for the trail conditions? I am expecting damp and muddy, but if there are mudslide and earthquake warnings we may take alternative actions.
