For me here are the differences I found:
-First thing was the longer top tube (I'm 6'1" with long arms and the G1 M/L felt a bit tight) The G2 large is perfect!
-Shorter travel/shock- feels more lively and responsive.
-Head angle-G1 was fine but with the slight change of G2 it's confidence...
I would double check. I had a 2011 888 ti and took it to marzocchi for stiction and they told me the lowers had thin walls and a minor dent created the stiction(sp?). Ended up getting new lowers.
Let me know if the 2011 lowers fit your fork...I have an extra set of the ti color lowers.
Finally got her built up. Still have to dial the rear suspension...but overall was a lot better than I expected. This thing is FAST!!! Big THANKS to Ian for his your help and support!
Couple of questions for G1 owners...
-Using the angle headset cups provided and the Cane Creek headset...
Has anyone else experience a small oil leak like this?
I contacted Cane Creek...they told me that it should be okay and it should go away (kind of a breaking-in and the extra oil will seep out).
If you're talking about the push shock frame...the one I owned (Schwinn version) was about 11-12 pounds (large). Are you looking for exact weight?
FYI... I think the guy i sold it to is now selling it.
Thanks for answering my question! How does your Leatt fit with the pads and without? Also, does the 7850 breathe less because of the thicker pads?
Thanks in advance!
